What Size Charm Bracelet Do I Need? (Easy Sizing Guide)
Share
Getting the size right is the one thing people worry about most when buying an Italian charm bracelet — but it's genuinely easy, because the links are modular and can be added or removed anytime. Here's everything you need to know.
How Italian charm bracelet sizing works
Unlike a fixed bangle, an Italian charm bracelet is made of individual links that clip together. That means the size is simply the number of charms (links) in the bracelet. Want it looser? Add a link. Too big? Click one out. No resizing appointment, no tools.
How to measure your wrist
Grab a soft measuring tape, or a strip of paper and a ruler:
- Wrap the tape snugly around your wrist, just below the wrist bone.
- Note the measurement in centimetres.
- This is your wrist size — the bracelet itself should be very slightly larger so it sits comfortably.

Use this as your guide for how many charms you'll need:
- 14 cm wrist ≈ 16 charms
- 15 cm wrist ≈ 17 charms
- 16 cm wrist ≈ 18 charms
- 17 cm wrist ≈ 19 charms
- 18 cm wrist ≈ 20 charms
Most of our base bracelets come with 18 links, which suits an average adult wrist — and you can adjust from there.
What if I'm between sizes?
Always size up. A bracelet that's slightly loose is comfortable and easy to wear; one that's too tight is not. Since you can remove a link in seconds, starting a touch larger is the safe choice.
Buying charms as gifts
Not sure of someone's wrist size? An 18-link bracelet fits most adults, and because it's adjustable, they can fine-tune it themselves. Add a few themed charms that match their personality and you've got a thoughtful, personal gift.
